“Libraries as Experience Centers”

In the 21st century, libraries are evolving from repositories of books into dynamic “Experience Centers” that foster active, immersive, and collaborative learning. As digital access to information expands, libraries must redefine themselves through Human-Centered Design, Makerspaces, Media Labs, AI-driven personalization, and immersive technologies such as AR and VR.

Building on the legacy of previous conventions, the 6th LISACON (12th–14th November 2026) invites researchers, practitioners, architects, and policymakers to explore the “Architecture of Engagement” and reimagine libraries as vibrant hubs of creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary dialogue. The conference will deliberate on experiential learning, UX-driven spaces, sensory design, and policy frameworks needed to transform traditional “Silent Zones” into “Active Zones” of discovery and societal impact.

  • Transforming libraries into multisensory learning environments

  • Integrating Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles

  • Leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, AR/VR, IoT, and immersive systems

  • Creating Makerspaces, innovation labs, and collaborative knowledge hubs

  • Promoting libraries as community engagement and social well-being centers

This conference aims to redefine libraries as active knowledge ecosystems that foster creativity, collaboration, and lifelong learning in the post-AI era.
